About the Art
Title: Do Darya, Aik Kashti
“I took this photo in August 2020 at Karachi’s infamous Do Darya, towards the end of Pakistan’s first COVID-19 wave. It’s a popular spot for picnicking, fishing, street racing at night, and just hanging out with your friends. As the sandy winds rush by your ears, and the Arabian Sea laps gently onto the shore, the Do Darya coast, lovingly known as the “rocks”, serves as one of Karachi’s few respites from its mayhem.” – Omair Danish
