§

Hazem Asif is an international illustrator and designer based in Lahore, Pakistan. With a BFA in Graphic Design and MFA in Design Studies from the Virginia Commonwealth University School of the Arts, he has collaborated with leading brands and publishers such as Google, Al Jazeera Media, Qatar Foundation, HarperCollins, and DK Books, where he recently illustrated a retelling of The Odyssey. His work has been exhibited internationally, and his research-driven projects explore speculative design, world-building, and design fiction, aiming to envision new potential futures with social and political significance through design-inspired activism. A notable recent project, Truckistan, is a non-linear visual illustrated narrative series exploring an alternative Pakistani landscape intertwined with sci-fi phenomena, nostalgia, and the unforeseen consequences of modern technology, ecological disasters, and political corruption in the near future. Hazem currently works as a science illustrator at the Lahore University of Management Sciences.
