Bareerah Ghani
Bareerah is a Canadian-Pakistani writer and editor. She holds an MFA in Fiction from George Mason University, and freelances as a book reviewer at Publishers Weekly. Her work has appeared in The Rumpus, Electric Literature, Moon City Review, and other places.

Anum Asi
After studying Sociology and Education at Teachers College, Columbia University as a Fulbright Scholar, Anum Asi went on to complete an MFA in Creative Writing from Cornell University, where she subsequently served as a lecturer teaching courses in fiction and memoir. Her fiction has appeared in Indiana Review, Virginia Quarterly Review, Necessary Fiction, Litro, Cherry Tree, the Aleph Review, and elsewhere, and won the Emily Clark Balch Prize for Fiction.

Nadir Khan
A co-founder of DWL (Desi Writers’ Lounge), a lyricist and poet, Nadir has been penning verses in English and Urdu for over half a lifetime. His work has appeared in Papercuts Magazine, Basant – a Poetry Anthology, The Dewdrop, Rockvale Review, and elsewhere. Two of his Urdu poems have been anthologized in the Stephen Spender Trust collaboration, “Aks-e-Rawanee”. Several of his works have been reproduced as songs.

Aisha Hamid
Aisha Hamid is a poet and writer from Lahore presently pursuing her MFA in Writing for the Screen and Stage at Northwestern University. She was shortlisted by the Zeenat Haroon Rashid Writing Prize for Women in 2019 and served as a Poetry Reader at The Adroit Journal for two years. Usama Lali
Usama Lali is a writer working with English, Urdu and Punjabi, currently finishing his second year at the University of Washington MFA program on the prose track. He is a recipient of the David Guterson Award 2023 and a Commonwealth Short Story Prize shortlistee whose Punjabi poetry translations have appeared in Pancham and English fiction and poetry is forthcoming in Adda Stories and Pleiades.

Munib Khan
Munib Khan holds an MFA from Purdue University and a PhD in English Literature and Creative Writing from Florida State University. His fiction has appeared in Prairie Schooner, Massachusetts Review, The Normal School, American Literary Review, Barcelona Review, Southword: New International Writing, and elsewhere. His essays have appeared in The News and Dawn in Pakistan. He has received fellowships from the National Society of Arts and Letters, Key West Literary Seminar, and Vermont Studio Center, among others. He is currently working on his debut novel.

By day Rabia photographs the sky on her walk to school, by night she watches sunsets from her kitchen window. Somewhere in between, she watches The Office, perfecting her tarka-to-daal ratio, reading, thinking about writing – the usual grad student duties. She is completing her MFA in Writing.
