This piece highlights the religious discrimination and atrocities I have faced as a religious minority in Pakistan. The text around it in Urdu is a couplet by the poet Ahmed Faraz, which translates to:
   You keep sinking the spears of your faiths
   Into every heart 
   We are people of love 
   Why do you wave your daggers?

Zehra Haider is a multidisciplinary creative exploring typography, illustration, printmaking, animation, embroidery and sound. A substantial portion of her portfolio is deeply rooted in her identity and religion. Working under the artist alias “Khanabadosh Art,” which reflects the idea of art bearing its own sense of belonging and having no fixed home, she brings a new perspective and tailored approach to each project. Her artwork explores themes of identity, culture, religion, and wisdom.
