Nadir Khan
A co-founder of DWL (Desi Writers' Lounge), a lyricist and poet, Nadir has been penning verses in English and Urdu for over half a lifetime. His work has appeared in Papercuts Magazine, Basant - a Poetry Anthology, The Dewdrop, Rockvale Review, and elsewhere. Two of his Urdu poems have been anthologized in the Stephen Spender Trust collaboration, "Aks-e-Rawanee". Several of his works have been reproduced as songs. Usama Lali
Usama Lali is a Pakistani writer working with English, Urdu and Punjabi, currently finishing his second year at the University of Washington MFA program on the prose track. He is a recipient of the David Guterson Award 2023 and a Commonwealth Short Story Prize shortlistee whose Punjabi poetry translations have appeared in Pancham and English fiction and poetry is forthcoming in Adda Stories and Pleiades. Munib Khan holds an MFA from Purdue University and a PhD in English Literature and Creative Writing from Florida State University. His fiction has appeared in Prairie Schooner, Massachusetts Review, The Normal School, American Literary Review, Barcelona Review, Southword: New International Writing, and elsewhere. His essays have appeared in The News and Dawn in Pakistan. He has received fellowships from the National Society of Arts and Letters, Key West Literary Seminar, and Vermont Studio Center, among others. He is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Social Sciences at Lahore School of Economics and is currently working on his debut novel.

Amama Bashir

Amama Bashir is an aspiring Kashmiri writer. She has majored in literature and is working towards earning a doctorate in English literature. As she puts it, her thoughts, observations, and emotions make more sense on paper and over the years she has tried to perfect the art of thinking on paper. Her work has been published in various literary magazines. She is currently compiling her parents' experiences as muhajirs in writing.

Hamda Faisal

Hamda Faisal is an editor and writer based in Gujranwala, Pakistan. She’s meticulous in her work and loves to discover a good poem. She mainly dabbles in prose of various and all kinds, focusing on the trivial emotions and moments that encompass everyday life. She has been associated with Vasl’s Art Association, WriterTalks, and The Walled City Journal. She studies literature and language.

Sidra Tul Muntaha

Sidra Tul Muntaha holds a Bachelors degree in Physics, she likes studying the universe and also creating new ones out of poems. Her hobbies include reading poems, collecting them in her notebook, and lending them to her friends whether they need one or not. Currently, she is trying really hard to make a metaphor out of the smog clouds suspended around her neighborhood and contemplating whether her father’s forgetfulness makes for a good poem or not.

Omair Danish

Omair Danish is an undergraduate senior at IBA Karachi, studying social sciences and liberal arts and majoring in media and cultural studies. His academic interests lie within the intersections of media, culture, science and technology, and the urban. He loves reading and writing creative non-fiction, as well as taking photos of Karachi's streets. He is currently working towards a thesis about video games in Pakistan. Afnan Ibnayjunaid

Afnan Ibnayjunaid is a final-year student of Economics & Data Science. He occasionally expresses his thoughts through nonfiction, in English and Urdu. His main interests revolve around the issues of Pakistani society, culture, and values. Ayesha Waheed is an avid reader and writer, deeply passionate about the world of words, particularly in the realm of Urdu literature. Finding joy in both the written word and the immersive experience of book reading, she is excited to contribute her love for storytelling to Lakeer's Urdu Fiction section. Outside of the literary world, Ayesha enjoys visiting old buildings, going to new places, and trying out new things.
